Positive Feedback ROCKS

This page was getting pretty full. I am going to be posting new feedback comments over here until that page fills up. I'm always looking forward to reading what you think of my site and appreciate your thoughts very much! - Angela

You're welcome..and you are right...doctors are human and not imperfect beings that should never be criticized or questioned.  And thanks to you for creating this site!! I cannot express how positive and beneficial this has been for me since being diagnosed.  It's just an awesome concept!! I have never been a member of a support type group before, but now I realize why they exist....they help! You're great for putting yourself out there and taking the time and effort into helping people deal.  So, THANKS TO YOU!!! It really means a lot to so many people :) - C

Hi Angela, I have been reviewing your website and I want to extend a thank-you for having the courage to do this. - K

Dear Angela - Your story made me feel ten feet high. I was diagnosed three weeks ago. I was so ashamed, but only allowed myself to cry during the commute from work to home. I'm a single Mom and I wouldn't let my four year old see me cry so I wouldn't have to lie to him about why I was crying. It was a shock as it is for most people. After lots of research, I felt overwhelmed and fearful. But your story is the only thing that has been hopeful and upbeat. Thank you for caring about others enough to expose your innermost side.  - M

I just wanted to thank you for your web site. Your web site inspired me to tell the woman of my dreams of my condition, rather then dump her and run. She has been very supportive, and even told me that she loved me for the first time! Go figure. Thank for your strength and determination! - D

It's been quite a while since I was last active on the boards, I have been distracted with work and research travel. However, after a year and half since I was first diagnosed with hsv2, I still think of you and your efforts often. I was looking through the yoshi2me site recently and it is amazing as always. But mostly CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!! That's wonderful. My sister and several friends are expecting for a similar date, so it's wonderful to know you are too. Again, even though I have not been very active of late, I want to thank you for your support really allowed me to resume my life. - R

Just to say that your web site has been really helpful in helping and encouraging me to seek clinical help regarding this condition. Although I have never had a formal clinical diagnosis of my condition (I never appear to shed!) I have been managing my private life assuming that I have HSV-2 (i.e. telling partners, safe sex etc..) but now it is time to seek this clarification. Many thanks for the great site and keep up the good work. - J

You inspire me actually as although I have never met you I am so impressed at how you manage to show encouragement and kindness consistently to people that you will never meet. You must be a person of great character. I imagine at times its done sacrificially so thanks from one who gets heaps from your output. (Sorry if I am raving but I think its important to let people know their impact when they have helped you) - L

It has almost been one year since my HSV2 diagnosis, and I am proud to finally say I have accepted this disease, and have gotten on with my life. The weeks of sleeping were torture, the paranoia of going out and thinking everyone knows over and over. Your herpes site played a huge part and still plays a huge part in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! With this disease came a renewed relationship with my spirituality as well and I thank God for that also. God Bless, you're doing an awesome job in helping others. - M

People do not choose to get herpes. I would not have chosen to get herpes. It happened. As much as I was initially devastated at having contracted herpes, I can honestly say if I had a choice between never having had herpes and NOT knowing the people I've met since I've had herpes that I would not change a single thing. I have met, either online or in person, some of the most wonderful, kind, generous people since being diagnosed with herpes. Angela and Gayla are selfless in reaching out to others, helping them and if you take a moment to check out their respective websites, I think you'll agree with me that they are literally angels on Earth. - M

Thanks Angela for making this message board and yoshi2me.com. It's a great comfort to a great many people and I think it's a remarkable thing that you've done. I have great respect for your courage and your hard work. You rock! - B

You are such an amazing person to have invested so much time and energy into your website and this cause. You've compiled so much great information! I just read your Telling Story on your website and it makes me so happy. What a wonderful idea to post telling stories! I can't think of anything more reassuring or inspirational to people in our situation. I love that you posted a picture of you and your husband, because it really humanizes your story. I think it's awesome that you are so strong and brave to be able to put yourself out there and share your experience. Not to gush - but really I totally admire what you have done and just wanted to thank you for all your hard work. You are such an angel, and I know your efforts have made a HUGE difference in my life right now. I am sure there are thousands and thousands of others who feel the same way. Thank you, thank you, thank you! - Anon

Thanks Angela, appreciate your thoughts. You guys do a wonderful job. Thank you for your selfless giving to many people you will never meet, hope you are reaping encouragement and hope along the way cause you sure have shown it! - L

I wanted to thank you for your website. I really enjoyed the tone, level of knowledge and compassion that it delivers. It is a great sight. - S

Any email to you has got to begin with a thank you for all that you've done. I honestly don't know where I'd be if it weren't for your efforts to reach out to the HSV community and educate the general public. - R

I just discovered your website. You are truly an inspiration. - K

I just want to say thanks for creating this site. I have visited other related sites and this one is by far the most informative and inspiring. Thank you, thank you, thank you! - D

Angela puts a lot of time into helping others. She takes time away from herself and her family to provide us with resources for medical info, social support, and anything else that someone in our collective situation could want. She gives of herself for our benefit. Not just mine but everyone's benefit. If she was local, she would probably be one of the first people you could count on for help. She does not live in our backyard, yet she still looks upon all of us as if we were her neighbors. - R

You seem to have taken a real evangelistic approach to all this, and I'm glad there are people like you in this world. :-) You're doing good work!  - J

Your website is awesome. I know it helped me a lot. It's been about a year and herpes doesn't really seem that bad to me anymore. Best Wishes - S

First let me applaud you on the work that you have done. You are an amazing and courageous woman. I am sure that it is not easy to continue at the pace you do with a family as well, but please know you have influenced far more people than will probably ever be able to acknowledge it. Thank you for your selflessness. - L

And I can't say enough about the PUP Site. Realizing that there were others in the same situation somewhat calmed my fears, made me wake up to the world and take control of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep up the good work on PUP. You guys are a real life-saver. - T

As a nurse and an H "victim" since 2002, I applaud your courage to stand up for those who would be ostracized within our own professions if colleagues only knew our secret. Few close friends know my condition and HIPPA keeps my diagnosis from being known to others where I work. I feel that in our own medical community there is so much stigma despite the knowledge of the disease. I commend you and wish that I could do a small part of what you do to advance the education and treatment of herpes. You give me hope. - Anon

Thank you for the information on your site. You and your site were instrumental to alleviating many of my fears and hopefully enabling the start of a great relationship. - B

Your website, yoshi2me.com is amazing.  Great job of putting together a lot of informational material. I will be a frequent visitor to that site for reference.  Again I can't thank you enough for taking the time to put together information like that and responding to my email. Take care and God Bless you. - M

I want to commend you on your web site. I have recently visited excellent fact sites and a number of really bad ones. I think the ones that are the most problematic are the message boards. So much misinformation floats around, and not enough positive messages make it out. It saddens me to see time and again on those sites newbies in a panic because they "just found something" and unfortunately, unlike yoshi2me.com, they don't allow links to be listed to places of accaccurate information and resources. :::sigh::: Keep up the great work, glad I found you. Now, if we could get "yoshi2me" to come up when folks type in "herpes" on a google search. - C
