Promotion and Networking Guidelines

If you are linking to any part of Yoshi2me please let us know so that we can return the favor! You can never have too many places helping to get the word out about your site, event OR discussion group. Remember, this is an all volunteer effort and we do not get paid for the time it takes to put this information together. We also do not require you to have a paid membership of any sort because the information provided is free for you to use for yourself and/or educational purposes.

We are not responsible for what other people do with their site, event OR discussion group. We are not open to ANY discussion about what is listed OR why AND our decision is final! If your site OR discussion group requires people to "sign up" then your link back to our stuff must be completely accessible to the public. If that means you have to put a link back on your home page in order for it to be accessible to the public then so be it! We should not have to "sign up" for your site in order to see if the courtesy of a link back has been honored.

Some web masters OR group owners claim that they do not know how to link back. Try and make an effort to learn. If you truly do not know how don't be afraid to ask for help. Giving credit where it's due is proper netiquette. Not knowing how to do something is not an excuse if you don't even make an effort to try and figure it out OR ask for help.

Banners OR Links

If you would like to use a banner to link back with we have many to choose from. Send me an e-mail and I will be more than happy to send you one. I have different banners for different pages. Some people do not like to use banners on their site. That's fine. Make sure to ask me which title I would prefer that you use and if you post descriptions ask me for that too. There are certain keyword phrases that I would like you to use and if you have certain phrases that you would like me to use to list your site all you have to do is let me know and I will be happy to accommodate your request.

Advertising Considerations

Yoshi2me was put together so people could find a place filled with information and support for the STD Community. Yoshi2me is a member of several ad banner campaigns and affiliate programs displayed throughout the site. Our participation in such programs allows Yoshi2me to generate small financial rewards that will allow us to keep out of pocket expenses to a minimum. These programs also allow us to make charitable contributions to various organizations of our choosing.

Yoshi2me is open to selling advertising placement throughout the site. Potential advertising placement is open to discussion and consideration through e-mail. Yoshi2me will not ever consider selling e-mail addresses or contact information of it's members and visitors. At Yoshi2me your confidentiality and privacy is of utmost importance. So don't even ask me for a list of contact because you will not ever get those from me. (I've actually had people ask!)

Yoshi2me will not ever be negatively influenced or intimidated by potential advertisers, sponsors, professional associations or others as to how we choose to present information on this site. Yoshi2me has the right to reject any advertisement in its sole and absolute discretion for any reason. Reasons for rejection may include that Yoshi2me believes the advertisement to be fraudulent, objectionable or unfit to the community served. (Sometimes we just don't want to link, period!)

One Final Reminder

Yoshi2me does not endorse any product that it promotes or advertises. Advertising will not be accepted for gambling, pornography or other products deemed unacceptable by the sole and absolute discretion of Yoshi2me.

I'm growing leery and tired of link exchanges

They are becoming a bit tedious for me and way too hard to keep track of. If you are wanting to do a link exchange I can tell you that it's probably not going to happen. It never works out the way it's supposed to and then people lose track of why they put their site together in the first place.

I've had people contact me saying how much better it will be for our page ranks to go ahead and link to each other just because. I'm to the point where I think sites earn their page ranks on their own without participating in link exchanges or link pyramids. If you are thinking about contacting me about a link exchange for those reasons please don't bother because I'm not interested.

I've had companies contact me and ask what my advertising rates are. I would appreciate it if people only sent me their very serious requests for ad placement. I will not disclose my rates via the internet. My rates vary depending on the situation and we all know that every situation is different. So there will be no rhyme or reason as to what I charge for ad placement and why.

If you are not able to pay for your ad place up front through PayPal I can already save you the trouble and tell you that I will not be interested in what you have to say OR any proposal that you have put together for the purpose of making an advertising presentation. I know that I might come across as a bit rude but you wouldn't believe all the situations that people have put me through to try and get ad placement with me. (I'm the one that winds up getting the run around!)
