There's A New Rule In Town

Advice and experiences shared on this forum will be done in the context of what is true for you with the understanding that just because it’s what you are going through doesn’t make it factual or truth for everybody else.

We do our best to provide people with the tools and resources that we know about because we want to be helpful and hope that we are able to save you some time. However, it is YOUR personal responsibility to do your own research.

When I was first diagnosed I did nothing but read and ask questions. There were many helpful individuals but not any one of them are above learning something new each and every day.

Diagnosis and treatment is NOT possible nor should it ever be attempted by anybody on these forums. Certificates, degrees, education, social status, and how much money you have does NOT exempt you from this rule.

When it comes to test results there will be NO posting of them. If you want your test results interpreted then you need to call YOUR doctor OR the lab that handled those results and have them do the interpreting for you.

Anybody posting test results or attempts to decipher test results from this day forward will result in having their post deleted. Further attempts to diagnose, treat, or interpret will result in having your group membership terminated.

The graphics, images, and other material that you find are strictly for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Nothing that you read on the internet is ever intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of YOUR physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never ever disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read anywhere on the Internet.

IF YOU FACILITATE A SUPPORT GROUP, SOCIAL GROUP or RUN A WEBSITE

We ask that you place a link to Picking Up the Pieces from your site BEFORE you attempt to self-promote. The PUP Moderators have the right to decline or refuse any promotional post or link at any time for any reason. PUP is provided to you as a labor of love by volunteers.

Tell me what you think of Picking Up the Pieces, ok?
