Announcing the next H-YPE London Party!!!

In honor of the sometimes loved and sometimes dreaded Valentine’s day, I’ve booked Saturday the 16th of February, 2008 at our regular haunt, Potion.

Since the next do is just over 6 weeks away, I would suggest you get busy in booking anything like hotels to avoid rushing closer to the date. Remember to stick it in your diaries so you can come along and join in on the H-YPE London Valentine’s party.

I can recommend the St Giles hotel, just off Tottenham Court Road as its close by, has loads of rooms and should be able to cater for a large group and is a great place to hang out before and after the Potion do.

The venue is called Potion Bar and it’s a great place for a party. We have the downstairs bar all to ourselves which will ensure maximum privacy for those that may be a little worried about that and there are some funky alcoves for you lurkers to lurk in.

The night is purely social and just an excuse to have a drink or three. So if you already have a boyfriend or girlfriend then don’t let that stop you from joining us. Of course there’ll be numbers swapped and dates made but that’s not the sole purpose for these parties. It’s also a great opportunity to make some new friends and to hang out with some old friends too. As I always say, the more the merrier.

The party is downstairs and we have the whole downstairs area to ourselves till 1:00am. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could arrange a newbie meeting point pre-Potion and if someone else can arrange for a venue afterwards.

Please contact me directly if you would like to volunteer for either of those roles.

Closest tubes are Warren Street, Goodge Street & Great Portland Street. I would suggest you print off the map from the link below to make life easier on the day.

Important note: the room is booked in the name of Prof and in my real life name too for those of you that know it so don’t forget to mention it if there are any problems getting in. As far as Potion Bar know, we are just a group of friends that enjoy meeting up every two months or so, and for those of you that may be concerned, there’s been no mention of H.

Please RSVP me to say whether or not you can make it so that I can get an idea of numbers.

Please pass this email onto anyone that has not yet heard of our get togethers, who you feel may benefit from a night out and meeting others in the same boat as them. These parties seem to be going from strength to strength so let’s try and make this one even better and get as many people there as possible.

Feel free to bring along your partner or friends, whether they’re in the club or not as some people did at the last do. It can only have a positive impact for others to see that it IS possible to have a relationship with someone that’s not in the club, or it may just give them the boost they needed to tell a friend. It demonstrates that there ARE people out there that can understand and accept our situation and prove that all is NOT lost.
