DMSO is NOT approved by the FDA for the treatment of anything!

Just in case one was thinking that DMSO treatment maybe a good idea please read the following:

No one knows what causes interstitial cystitis. It wasn’t recognized as a disorder until the 70’s. In 1978, the Food and Drug Administration approved Rimso-50, a purified form of the industrial solvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), for symptomatic relief of IC.

Wow. Now have a look at the side effects of cigarette smoking. Yet it’s sold everywhere. How many people dies of DMSO usage as compared to cigarettes on a yearly basis? What about MSG’s or even aspartame? It’s all stuff that causes cancer and serious problems, yet it’s approved.
I’ve been reading about DMSO for a couple weeks, not taking into consideration any store adds or results taken from anyone that sells the product. My conclusion is that it has no side effects (except the garlic smell) and occasional headaches that dissipates quickly after use. (Caused mainly by the stress of not knowing anything about the procduct). Caused eye issues in test animals but never caused the same in humans etc… Never found anything about liver damage but i’m looking.
Also, not everyone is made the same or reacts the same to medicine. Aspirin can affect people in different ways. Results can vary according to the progression of the diseases (if it’s starting or been active for long time). Etc. Etc.
DMSO is use widely in the production of medicated creams, cosmetics, finger nail polish removers, even eye drops. What do you think gets the red eye so quickly? It’s used in the treatment of funghi in the finger nails and stuff like that (i forgot the name of that, sorry). It’s used in many household products like acetone and paint thinners but in industrial form. Have you ever spilled or came into contact with thinner? It evaporates quickly and leaves some white residue on the skin. Well it doesn’t evaporates, it penetrates the skin and the white stuff is dry skin. I personally never died from that… Same thing applied to the anti-freeze in you car, etc.
There is lots of research on that, and lots of people contradicts the usage of DMSO, but if it helps someone, then by all means, use it. If it causes problems with you, then stop using it. It’s not the end of the world and look at something else to use. I’m allergic to aspirin, well guess what? It’s still in use everyday, i just don’t take it. Others are allergic to penicillin, other to antibiotics.
If you have documents on that (proof) then post it cause i want to read it. So far i never used it, but if i did, i would go for the Pure stuff (99.94% solution). It’s the safest but it still has to be used with the necessary precautions. Wash the skin, and stuff like that. Drug interaction is still a factor so be careful with that, and also be carefull who you consult about it…
Hope this inspires you to look into it with an objective mind and not a critical mind.

Wow, you have no idea what you are talking about – none whatsoever! This reveals a scornful neglect of due diligence. Just blurting out the first bit of propaganda you come across is not research. There is plenty of good, long-substantiated information available on DMSO and one should actually read and learn before spouting an uninformed opinion.
It also shows a callous disregard for all those who might read this website thinking they are getting valuable information. Thanks to this flashing red flag of ignorance, I won’t be one of them.
Disinformation and half-truths are worse than nothing at all.
It’s clear that you haven’t done your FDA homework. How much are the DMSO folks paying you to pop on here and say all of that?
Isn’t an alternative MSM? I’ve used MSM for more then 10 years and it seems to have beneficial results.
