Are you saying that you were diagnosed from having a herpes sore cultured? For people that don't get sores that can be cultured there are type specific herpes antibody tests that can tell you if you have HSV-1, HSV-2, both or nothing at all. If you have had herpes for 10 years and can’t get it to show up on a blood test then you probably haven’t had the right tests done.
