Herpes does not cause cervical cancer
Posted on Friday, July 6th, 2007 at 4:58 AMI’m not sure why people think that Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) has anything to do with cervical cancer. This comes up quite a bit and I don’t understand why people think there is a connection between the two viruses HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus). They are two completely different viruses that act differently depending on the person. Not all HPV types lead to cervical cancer either.
