Well… you may or may not have contracted herpes from him. You could have had it all along and didn’t know until now OR maybe you did contract it from him. Have you actually discussed any of this w/him yet?

i just got the worst christmas gift ever on the day of the 24th i was diagnosed with herpes. i have been with the same man for the last 4 months, and to be honest i believe it is from him. i have gone through the motions and come up with an action plan, but i still dont want to look down there to see if it has halfway went away i have been walking like an old woman for the last week and yes im still freakin angry…and i have yet to tell my new “friend” im trying to figure out the best way to find out the truth from him…suggestions anyone??

If you want to squirt lemons all over your hoo hoo you go right ahead. Everybody knows that Valtrex has a generic brand now. Everybody also knows that acyclovir is cheap. As for the drug reps.. they have a job to do. Providing dinner to their clients is a right off. It’s called doing business. Everybody has a job to do. You can’t knock the drug reps for doing their job. Also, the Valtrex drug reps can’t help it if their antiviral is clinically proven and lemons are not. Merry Christmas!

Valtrax is the best(never had a single outbreak on it)But not everyone has health insurance and valtrax is too expense for self pay. So any natural solution to prevent outbreaks is valuable info for Herpes patients who cant afford hundreds of dollars a month in medicine. People with Herpes who are not on welfare, we appreciate any “naturalcure” avaliable to live day to day without pain. By the way, I work at a DR. office and our drug reps prodive us with dinner every single night in exchange for pushing their drugs!

erm peeps lemons leave the highest alkaline residue of any fruit (yes I know they’re acidic, but still, look it up). Herpes along with many illnesses and even cancers finds it very hard to survive in an alkaline environment. Interestingly taking lemons also prevents L-lysine from inducing hyperacidity (which can provoke an outbreak if your diet is too acidic).
I do the lemon shiz too, but this is why. Hope this helps people, this girlie stumbled accross something but this is the reasoning behind it. This also explains why her symptoms came back when she stopped doing it.

I only share what I know to be clinically proven and what has worked for me. I am not a drug pusher and even though people have accused me of working for GSK, I will say it again, I do not. lol (It kinda makes me laugh to hear such things)I’ve been taking some extra B complex but that has nothing to do with herpes. I talk a lot about why on my forum. What the alternatives want you to believe is that they are not a multi-billion dollar industry. Pot calling the kettle black perhaps?

I occasionally get the same sort of comments over on the Original Herpes Home Page, usually from someone who is pushing an alternative treatment scam. It goes with the territory, folks. The only treatments that are proven by double-blind scientific studies published in peer-reviewed journals are the three antivirals, acyclovir, valtrex and famvir.

OMG Angela! You really took a sucker punch from Jessica there. Drug pusher? I’ve been on your site for weeks now and have found only minimal and factual advice for the pharmaceutical anti-viral medications. I must have missed your big *drug pusher* page…

Lemons? That was is new for me. I spent a few weeks doing this thing with honey. What a god awful sticky mess. I don’t know if it worked or not. and I had to keep yelling at my family, “No! No! Not THAT honey…”. And everyone is all like, “what is the honey doing under the bathroom sink?”. Good times.

I do take a lot of vitamin C.
