My friend Shari Foster of www.statusCunknown.org sent me some information today that I thought I would go ahead and share with you.

Shari knows how important STD Awareness is to me and she tries to make sure that I have access to what she is finding out there on the internet.

You can bet I’m making good use of this information so that you will have access to it too!

This is the information that was shared with me:

April is STD Awareness Month, an annual observance to raise public awareness about the impact of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) on the lives of Americans and the importance of individuals discussing sexual health with their health care providers and if sexually active, their partners.

For STD Awareness Month, CDC has updated the HIVTest.org website to include STD testing locations, has developed an STD awareness website and has created STD E-Cards that can be sent electronically to family, friends, co-workers, and public health agencies as a reminder to get tested and to know the facts about STDs.

For more information on National STD Awareness month 2008, please visit: www.cdcnpin.org/stdawareness

To find an STD testing center near you, please visit: www.hivtest.org

Or to send an STD E-Card

For further information or to request assistance, please visit: www.cdcnpin.org and speak to a reference specialist via “Live Help.”
