   Let’s begin this DMSO discussion by setting the record straight about the nature of the herpes infection. Herpes is a DNA virus and, by its intrinsic nature is not really a separate living organism like a bacteria. It is a little piece of DNA that makes its way into the DNA of the infected cell and becomes an integral part of the cell’s DNA. DMSO and/or “oxygen” through H2O2 Or the so called liquid oxygen will not remove that snippet of DNA from the infected call.

   Let’s look at another aspect of a herpes infection, the fact that overwhelmingly the symptoms get better over time as our body’s immune system adapts better and better as it goes along in fighting the viruses attempts to replicate. This factor accounts for the majority of testimonials that are truthful and not manufactured by the seller of the herpes “cure” product.

   As many other people have already pointed out, DMSO is dangerous. Forget about it. The existing effective ways to treat a herpes infection are antiviral drugs such as acyclovir and its offshoots. The other effective treatment is simply to be healthy and, to the extent possible, avoid stress, the most common trigger. Being healthy means eating right, getting enough sleep and exercising.

   The next big development to look forward to is the development of an effective vaccine. There is no magic “cure”, but some people are making lots of money by selling something that proports to be such. Caveat emptor.
