I have had herpes for 20 years, had 5 sexual partners (told every one!), have had (ahem) repeated unprotected sex for like, months and months between outbreaks, and have never passed it on. Did I mention the two vaginal births to two healthy boys? (not like, on the same day..) Every herpes experience is different, sometimes I wonder if HSV2 isn't actually a series of mutated similar viruses. But knowledge is empowerment and clearly that Doctor had none. I can’t even believe there are Doctors that would give such hideous information.
