Your site gave me Courage
Posted on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 at 10:00 AMYour site gave me courage to tell the guy I was dating about my ’situation’. Despite it still haunting me (I’ve had it for less than a year), I like to think that I have mostly come to terms with it. I had feared telling him, had cried a lot over it, but he was accepting when I told him. So, in short, I would like to thank you. Thank you for your informative and real site. It has helped me a lot. – Anna

I just wanted to post something- I have herpes and have had for nearly three years. When I first got it (from a casual partner) I was shocked and struck to the core of my sexual identity. I felt alone, depressed and embarassed. I was worried what potential partners would think of me. I became obbsessed with the thought of having an outbreak. I thought I’d never fall in love again, that I was broken, off the shelf.
SO NOT TRUE!! Fast forward two years and I met an incredible man who I was completely honest
with about my condition. He accepts me, loves me, its not even an issue! I rarely have outbreaks (but always take medication with me just incase) we have a great, normal sex life and I feel like a sexy young woman again.
Ther is LIFE AFTER HERPES!! And a great SEX LIFE TOO!! I know it feels like it’ll never get bettterm but it will.
Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom w/us. So many need to hear from people that have been there and done that. Thank you so much!!! :]
