Who has time to worry about herpes?

As funny as it may seem... I thought at times I was the only Christian out there with "herpes". Not at all!! Thank you so much for this web page. You all have inspired me with your wonderful stories. Where's my Kleenex? LOL...

You see, I was molested by my own grandfather when I was much younger. That had left me with a scar. I had a very low self esteem growing up and my close family never knew why.

When I got much into my twenties, I had allowed men to abuse me. They knew how weak and fragile I was. They took advantage of it. Sick huh? Anyway one day after going to church with a good friend of mine, I told myself ,"No More"! I had enough of the abuse and I was going to date only God and get my life straighten out.

I had found a wonderful christian husband and happily to brag that I'm a proud mother of two small growing beautiful boys.. My three men are the best thing that has ever happened to me. God had given me something worth living and being proud of who I am.

Sadly, I had found out many years later that I had contracted herpes. I will never know if I had contracted it from child hood or from an ex-boyfriend. I had my time to share tears, guilt and shame, but I prayed to my heavenly father.

This virus will never defy the real person I am. I'm still loving, beautiful and smart. You can also now add on STRONG!! So are you!!

Who has time to worry about herpes?

Remember, God is not going to give us something we can't handle in life. To this day, My husband of 12 years had been herpes free!! I'm doing what I can to keep it that way, but like he had told me in his wedding vows... "For sicker and for health". He meant his every word on that too.
